NEW HIRES

JRS Architect has hired Michael Sciara as project manager and Joseph Sassone as project manager/office manager in the firm’s Mineola corporate headquarters.

Mark Konchar has rejoined architectural firm Costas Kondylis & Partners as division vice president, business acquisition.

PROMOTIONS

Joanne Minieri has been named president and chief operating officer of Forest City Ratner Companies.

Elizabeth Lerber has been named partner of Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners.

Steven Bonora and George Drallios have been promoted to partner at architectural firm Costas Kondylis & Partners.

Balfour Beatty Construction has promoted Matt Dye to division vice president, operations and business unit leader; David Salzer to division senior vice president, operations; David Laib to division senior vice president, operations and Mike Phillips to division senior vice president, operations.

Kelly Hayes McAlonie, David Johnson and Joseph Robins have been named associate vice president at Cannon Design, a national architectural, engineering and planning firm.

Bruce Jansen has been named manager of the Facilities Management Group at Gannett Fleming, Inc., an international planning, design, and construction management firm.

Troy Marzziotti and James Napolitano have been promoted to senior project manager at MAST Construction Services.

HONORS AND APPOINTMENTS

Michael McNally has been appointed President of Skanska USA Building.

Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. has been honored with Autodesk’s Revit BIM Experience Award for its use of Revit Structure to coordinate structural design and analysis.

Paul Nowicki has been appointed to senior vice president and to the Board of Directors of Gannett Fleming, Inc.

Edward Malec, a senior facilities management consultant at Gannett Fleming, Inc, has recently received his LEED® A.P. accreditation.

H2M has been appointed program manager for the 2004 Environmental Bond Act by the Nassau County Department of Public Works.

COMPANY NEWS

EMCOR Group, Inc. has been named to the InformationWeek 500 for the sixth consecutive year and placed number one in the Construction & Engineering industry segment.

CB Richard EllisWestchester/Fairfield Private Client Group was named the exclusive leasing agent of an office building in White Plains, N.Y. after it arranged the $6.7 million sale of the building.

Residential and commercial developer, Northstar New York Development Group has renamed its company to Fifth Square Partners.

Perkins Eastman recently celebrated the expansion of their Stamford office.

H2M has received 2 of the 5 Long Island Canstruction Awards. Canstruction is a food drive in which local architecture and engineering firms create structures entirely out of canned food.

EYP Mission Critical Facilities was named number 25 on ZweigWhite Information Services’ Hot Firm List of the 200 fastest-growing U.S. architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firms.
