Pasquale "Pat" DiFilippo has taken over Turner Construction's New York and New Jersey operations, returning to the region from a two-year assignment as senior vice president of Texas operations. As senior vice president, DiFilippo will report to Peter Davoren, Turner Construction's president and CEO. DiFilippo, in his 21st year at Turner, succeeds James McKenna, who had been in the post since 2003 and left to join Hunter Roberts Construction Group [see related item, Company News section].

Michael Healy was dismissed from his post as president of Skanska USA Building in January. According to a company press release, the reason for the move was poor performance for the national division, which is headquartered in Parsippany, N.J. Johan Karlström, executive vice president of Sweden-based parent company Skanska AB, will head the business unit as acting president. Karlström had added oversight of all of Skanska USA last September to his other executive duties.

Thomas Lurcott has been hired as director of healthcare project management overseeing all U.S. healthcare sector projects at Swanke Hayden Connell Architects of New York.

Robert Dusconi has taken the post of vice president and chief financial officer at Syska Hennessy Group of New York, a consulting, engineering, technology, and construction company.

Raffaela Petrasek has joined HDR as program director for mixed use development in the architectural, engineering, and consulting company's Manhattan office.

Lawrence Capelli has joined LCOR, a real estate development company based in Berwyn, Pa., as director of development and construction for the New York region.

Jennifer Triano has been hired as vice president of operations at Hannah Real Estate Investors of Stamford, Conn.

Linda Turteltaub has joined Skanska USA Building in Parsippany, N.J. as corporate counsel.

Robert Kelling has taken the post of senior managing director at the New York-based corporate services group of Staubach Company, a real estate advisory firm.

John Major has joined Cannon Design of New York as associate vice president.

Jorma Weber has been named a senior associate in the White Plains, N.Y., office of Leggette, Brashears & Graham, an environmental engineering services firm.

Matthew Meek has been hired as director of financial analysis at Swig Burris Equities of New York, a real estate developer and manager. The firm also announced that Norman Zeller has been promoted to director of property management.

Meltzer/Mandl Architects of New York has named Andrea Harris, Dan Heyden, Yu Inamoto, David Kirschenbaum, and Ian Pinto as its first-ever associates.

Wil Chabrier has been promoted to director of the office of regional and economic development for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Alan Kersner, CFO of Terra Holdings, parent company of Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property Company, has taken on the additional role of chief operating officer.

Dewberry, a national consulting firm based in Fairfax, Va., has announced several promotions: Craig Johnson, manager of Dewberry's Bloomfield, N.J. office, to senior vice president; Sufian Khondker to senior associate in the firm's New York office; and Christopher Cirrotti, a project manager and civil engineer in the Parsippany, N.J., office, to associate.

Kreisler Borg Florman has promoted three of its executives: Paul Steenson to executive regional manager of the Long Island City office, in addition to his senior marketing director role; Stephen Griswold, a senior vice president, to the additional post of aide to John Nowak, first senior vice president; and Allan Rubin to contractor administrator.

Hill International, based in Marlton, N.J., has promoted Frederic Samelian to president of its construction claims group and Peter Nassab to senior vice president of business development for that group.

BL Companies senior architects Andrew Graves, Rai Muhlbauer, and Christopher Roof have received Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. Graves is director of building design and engineering, Muhlbauer is New York region director, and Roof is quality assurance and quality control manager for the firm, which is based in Meriden, Conn.

Stephen Siegel, global chairman of CB Richard Ellis, was honored by the Real Estate and Construction Industry Chapter of American ORT with its Community Achievement Award for his professional accomplishments and his commitment to various charitable organizations.
