vice president of the new integrated services department at
EMCOR Group of Norwalk, Conn., a provider of mechanical and

head of the eastern regional healthcare practice for Heery,
the architectural, engineering, and construction management
services company based in Waterford, Conn.
Howard Sackel is the new vice
president and director of transit programs for URS Corp.,
heading its mass transit business line.
Michael Gennaro has been named
president of Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor, a subsidiary of
KeySpan Corporation, succeeding William
Paulus Jr., who founded the engineering, environmental,
and building design services unit based in Warren, N.J.
Richard Tomasetti is now
chairman of Thornton-Tomasetti Group, the New York-based engineering
and design consultant, after having served as co-chairman
with founding principal Charles
Thornton, who remains active with the company.
Ali Sherafat has been promoted
to deputy chief engineer at Syska Hennessy Group, the consulting,
engineering, technology, and construction company.
Edmund Meade has been promoted
to principal at Robert Silman Associates, a New York-based
consulting engineer.
Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers of Woodbury, N.Y.,
has promoted two executives to senior vice president: Steven
Fangmann, who is now director of the wastewater collection
and treatment division; and Richard
Walka, now director of the environmental remediation
and multimedia compliance division.
Joseph Shein, a partner in

New York, has been named a fellow in the American College
