The New York City Buildings Department was recently presented with the International Code Council’s Raising the Profile Award, which honors individuals or organizations for contributions to raising public awareness of the work accomplished by code officials to improve public safety in the built environment. DOB was recognized for its Scaffold Safety Team, Scaffold Worker Outreach Program and the teams created under the Special Enforcement Plan.
