2 Trends to Transform Industry
Two trends from 2002 will transform the metro New York
City construction industry by 2052:
Demographic shift to non-male, non-white industry - over
50% of the companies will be owned and managed by this emerged
segment. Our industry will remain one of huge opportunities
for immigrants to assimilate, grow and thrive economically
continuing the trend from the very beginnings of America.
Digital technology will be pervasive in its usage at all
levels of the industry from planning g to design to construction.
Many wearable devises will automate tasks and users will
respond in a very intuitive manner to these devices.
Despite the shifts the industry will remain dominated by
small businesses and continuing evolving roles.
In 2052 architects will still bemoan their loss of industry
leadership!
