The End of MBE/WBE/SBE Programs

The year is 2052 and I am still alive and well thanks to advances in medical science. In 2010, an Internet-based, color- and sex-blind bidding practice was enacted, resulting in the 100 percent integration of the construction industry. This eliminated the need for MBE/WBE/SBE programs, whereupon I retired from the Regional Alliance for Small Contractors. My wife and I spend our time visiting our great-great-grandchildren and trying to remember their names.
