50th Anniversary
Industry to Be Run by Women

NEW YORK (2052): Looking through the "glass floor," I reflect upon the changes women have brought to construction. Who can forget how Donna Karan revolutionized things with her designer drywall. I remember when Martha Stewart released her brand of heavy construction equipment. Donnatella Versace certainly caused a stir with gold lame construction thongs.

I just had lunch with leaders of the construction industry: Edwina Malloy, Tammi Maguire, Francine McArdle, Louise Coletti from the BTEA, and yes, Dick Anderson!

We were discussing President Chelsea Clinton's initiative requiring the hiring of male business enterprises on construction projects. Not easy to find those around these days.
Some may thing this is a dream. But I know this will be the future!
