50th Anniversary
The Promise of America

On a summer evening ten years from now, tall ships line New York harbor. Flags fly from every bridge and landmark. As night falls, thousands of athletes enter Olympic Stadium on the west side of Manhattan. The cauldron is ignited and all eyes turn toward a glimmering tower at Ground Zero, on top of which rises the greatest and tallest monument to freedom, courage, and hope that the world has ever known. From its peak, a beacon of light shines toward the Statue of Liberty. Fireworks ensue, and the promise of America is clear for all to see.
